A-L M-Z

100 Degrees

Mike:
Yo, you ready do this? Ok
Come on! Let's go!

Green Lantern:
This is an invasion
Evil genius Green Lantern
Mike Shinoda

Mike:
Ladies and gentlemen
I would like to welcome you to a Fort Minor event
The countdown has begun
The Rising Tied is almost here
But for now...

Green Lantern:
Come on, Mike!

Mike:
Yo, let's get it going in front of every man, anybody
You gotta be ready, it's heavy when we get it rowdy
We won't apologize or even think of saying sorry
This is the way we rock steady over everybody
You probably shocked, probably ready to stop this already
You probably can't hang with the way we attack it so steady
We let it rock the Rover, bang the Benz, shake the Chevy
'Til everybody feels it in the chest, say it with me

This is the time so just follow me
It's already heated to 100 degrees so
Get up, get up, get up, get up
Get up, get up, get up, get up

Wait a second, you know the program, this is not a slow jam
This is not a love song, unless you love tearing shit down
Take a look around, you're not running this
The bluff in your nothing will hit you like a ton of bricks
Hit you together with pressure you can never stand
The softest leather just a featherweight, never man
We're not your competitors setting you straight
You never compete, forget it, it's already too late, go!

This is the time so just follow me
It's already heated to 100 degrees so
Get up, get up, get up, get up
Get up, get up, get up, get up
Yo, if you don't see, I'm a make you see this
If you don't roll, I'm a make you believe it
Get up, get up, get up, get up
Get up, get up, get up, get up

Shh, give me a second, I'm collecting my thoughts
And setting plots, all right y'all ready or not?!
I've listened and watched and waited for an opening spot
And now that I got it, nobody can pay me to stop
I'm sick of that same thing I've been forced to hear
Over and over again, let me make this clear
If anybody pretends that we're nothing to fear
I solemnly swear it's over, you can tell 'em we're here

This is the time so just follow me
It's already heated to 100 degrees so
Get up, get up, get up, get up
Get up, get up, get up, get up
Yo, if you don't see, I'm a make you see this
If you don't roll, I'm a make you believe it
Get up, get up, get up, get up
Get up, get up, get up, get up

Everybody owes, everybody pays
Because...

Back Home

Chorus:
Back home
Everybody's searching for somethin'
But all they can find is a whole lot of nothin'
Back home
Ain't nobody hoping and praying
'Cause they feel like nothing can save 'em
And they try to hold out but they can't fight the fact that
Life goes black when those lights go out
But I guess you gotta just watch out for your own
'Cause ain't a damn thing free
Back home

Common:
Back home / they holler "disciple" and "blackstone"
Same block the freebase yo we trapped on
Where our grandmothers marched / The guns clap on
There's liquor stores, beauty supplies, and rap songs
I travel the world just to come back to it
The crib got a lot of soul like black music
I'm attached to it
In many ways this city raised me / and gave me
The drama, honor, and bravery
The streets seem hollow / when I go to Chicago
It's cheap wine and sorrow
Times is hard to swallow
In search of God's tomorrow / I borrow words from the
Bible / and use them for survival / gangs rival
Signs painted on walls like hiero / glyphics
I tell 'em that this is all tribal
Used to do dirt / Shorty's goin' through the same cycle
And trials like Michael / tryin' not to stay idle

Chorus

Ryu:
Back home it's not Compton but close
The same problems exist and the pain throbbin'
And folks are so common
It don't / really bother us much we just swallow it / uh
Crack the bottle and smoke / hope tomorrow something
Magical happens that'll put me back in the biz
But the chances of it acutally happening's kinda slim
Back home / we get the good life at a glimpse
In the form of a rap star, drug dealers, and pimps
I'm back home

Tak:
Back home / I try my best to keep it together it's cold
Like the Windy City streets of December
I pace back and forth / looking for the courage to shine
But can't lap the source / need something to nourish my mind
I know we all lose quite a bit in life
Only to gain some
Life or the dark winding roads we came from
But I move with the night / so I'm used to the shade
And never lose sight / bringing truth back to the game

Mike:
Back home / We've got a lot of shit on our minds
We're always behind on something cause there's not enough time
And we're non-stop / bottom line / doing what we gotta do
To get some food in the fridge and stay out of the hospital
Back home there's people calling us hopeless
People trying to tell us all we need is some focus
But focus
Focus is overrated
Cause you see every blemish and mistake and can't change it
Back home is Alvarado / K-Town and J-Town
Or Little Tokyo for those that don't know
Where figures shiver / living right in the littler
Where kids write bigger / right inside the LA river
On the concrete / a symbol of our everyday way
Its that color and concentration over heavy and grey
And by the time the ink dries on this page
I'll be half a day away from the place where I stay

Chorus

We takin' it back home ya'll
Yeah its common sense(yeah)
My guy mike (what up com)
SOB (uhuh)
Yeah thats how we rotate
Its good music (hahaha)
Hip hop (it dont stop)
Its home for me baby (yeah)

Battle

Celph Titled:
These hungry rappers battle for a buck and some change
There really be kids starving give a fuck if it change
Shock rap, not that
You get signed, you might blow up
Release "Party in Iraq," you might blow up
I see you trying to think a few lines you might get at me with
Slap happy babies who're born with crack in they cribs
Too much to cram under your oversized fitted
And the public system failed you, either you're ignorant or...

Be Somebody

Green Lantern [echo]
Uh
MS
Lupe
Ya know, I'm a fan man, I'm a real fan
(Gonna be somebody)
Feel real honored to be up in here, ya know I'm sayin
(Gonna be someone)
They had to bring out the expensive mics for this one
(Gonna be somebody)
Ya know I'm sayin the seven thousand dolla headphones for this one here
Yeah, ya know I'm sayin
(Gonna be someone)
Comeon, talk to em

[Mike Shinoda]
This is the story of them against us
Win or lose
Forcin' your feet into someone else's shoes
Everybody's got somein to say
That we oughta live their way
What we're doin's not okay
In this world
Everybody's got a chip on
Both sides of their neck
Got no respect
Wait up a sec
You ever feel like the pressure's too much too take
Too much weight
Ladies and Gentlemen
If anybody can hear me right now
Please shout back
We're not the only ones feelin so trapped
In a dream of somebody else
In fact
They got their heads full of some overblown scheme
Opportunity they missed
Back when they were sixteen
And all they want to do is push you to be that
And all you wanna do is scream back

[Chorus]
Gonna be somebody
For anybody tellin me I can't
Gonna be someone
For anyone who told me I had no chance
Gonna be somebody
I'm tellin you the time has come (Like that)
Gonna be someone
And maybe you'll get it when I'm finally done

[Mike Shinoda]
We don't sleep to dream
We sleep to build stamina
Energy to do our thing
Get your camera
Cuz this ride is about to begin
Sit down, and buckle it in
Let me say it again
In this world
Everybody's got a chip on
Both sides of their neck
Got no respect
Wait up a sec
When I was young
They said the odds of makin it
Were slim, to none
Ladies and, fuck it
I'm tired of them sayin' the dream you have
Doesn't exist
Tellin you you're worthless
Sayin' you should quit
Basically tellin' you
That you'll never be shit
Really they're pissed
Cuz they'll never achieve
Some opportunity they missed
Back when they were sixteen
And all they want to do is push you to be that
And all you wanna do is scream back

[Lupe Fiasco]
Uh
They gone think you're crazy
Mumblin' to yourself
In the basement all day
Uh-uh-uhin to ya self
My pops didn't dig it
Was shovelin to myself
My boys used to get it
They dug it because they felt
My undertakin' took me
I was makin' in my stealth
For wealth of rhymes, of crazy
I was chuckin' to myself
Then they went into the mental rolodex
See I'm knowin' bout heart
Like a brain in my chest
And I took up a school
Where subjects was gettin' felt
Books under my seat
No book layin on my desk
My teacher's like, Mr. Jaco
Yes?
With all that knowledge
You ain't tryin' to go to college
Be a lawyer or a doctor
Get a whole lotta dollas
Rather degrade women
And glorify violence
Well the work that works for me
Might not work for you
No homework, I got work to do

[Chorus]
Gonna be somebody
For anybody tellin me I can't
Gonna be someone
For anyone who told me I had no chance
Gonna be somebody
I'm tellin you the time has come (Like that)
Gonna be someone
And maybe you'll get it when I'm finally done

(Im finally done)

Believe Me

[chorus]
I guess
That this is where we've come to
If you don't want to
Then you don't have to believe me
But I won't be there when you go down
Just so you know now
You're on your own now believe me

I don't want to be the one to blame
You like fun and games
Keep playing em
I'm just sayin
Think back then
We was like one and the same
On the right track
But I was on the wrong train
Just like that
Now you've got a face the pain
And the devil's got a fresh new place to play
In your brain like a maze you can never escape the rain
Every damn day is the same shade of grey

Hey
I used have a little bit of a plan
Used to
Have a concept of where I stand
But that concept slipped right out of my hands
Now I don't really even know who I am
Yo, what do I have to say
Maybe I should do what I have to do to break free
What ever happens to you, we'll see
But it's not gonna happen to me

[chorus]
I guess
That this is where we've come to
If you don't want to
Then you don't have to believe me
But I won't be there when you go down
Just so you know now
You're on your own now believe me

Back then, I thought you were just like me
Somebody who could see all the pain I see
But you proved to me unintentionally
That you would self-destruct eventually
Now I'm thinking like the mistake I made doesn't hurt
But it's not gonna work
Cause it's really much worse than I thought
I wished you were something you were not
And now this guilt is really all that I got

You turned your back
And walked away in shame
All you got is a memory of pain
Nothing makes sense so you stare at the ground
I hear your voice in my head when no one else is around
What do I have to say
Maybe I should do what I have to do to break free
What ever happens to you, we'll see
But it's not gonna happen to me

[chorus]
I guess
That this is where we've come to
If you don't want to
Then you don't have to believe me
But I won't be there when you go down
Just so you know now
You're on your own now believe me

[bridge]

[chorus]
I guess
That this is where we've come to
If you don't want to
Then you don't have to believe me
But I won't be there when you go down
Just so you know now
You're on your own now believe me

Do what i have to do
You're on your own now believe me

What ever happens to you
You're on your own now believe me

What do I have to say
You're on your own now believe me

It's not gonna happen to me
You're on your own now believe me

Bleach (Jimi Remix)

[Tak]
Yo, swing the sword for the classic year
Bring the noise with your hands up, slash and tear
Who can, fathom asthma, dash for air
Spittin on the baby bib in the plastic chair
What's up stupid? Shoot this, 1-5-1
In the shot glass, hot flash - bangin on the drum, huh
We cause hav-oc down in Las Vegas
Paper trails racin Pelican Brief-cases
We outrageous, name the streets gave us
Yeah, we got fame, but now we heat blazers

[Ryu]
I let 'em all fly, ten in the clip, one in the chamber
Thumbs up, another banger
Untuck the flamer, dumbfuck
It's like gettin hit with a dump truck, brains and guts
Maim, cut, aim, duck, same, stuff
Get you cracked up like cocaine, heat 'em up
Okay, I'll let a sucka's fly once
Face down, found him in his Cap'n Crunch

[Tak]
Uhh, malpractice, a bang-all jam
I joust rappers and track in the radar scans
Flip beats with a crew like fleets and platoons
Reach for the moon like Reese Witherspoon, uhh
Don't stop the sure-shot, the rooftop anthem
Blast the gold box, cock back the cannon
What's up partner, I got ya (what, what)
Hope that bah-bah, crack the piN?ata
Slapbox, mouth of backwash
Teeth mashed up on the asphalt - ya dig?

[Ryu]
Set the pace like a Mustang mashin
Up the stakes, who wanna cut the cake, I take cash
Dropped on a blood-stained mattress, stop!
You ain't got access, watch
I'ma change my asset, Ryu and Tak
You little cunts in the game, you can suck my cum
And lay flat on the ground, don't make 'em peep
If you want the stains out now, get the bleach!

[Interlude]
[scratches] Get the bleach!

[Ryu]
Guess who got the rubber gloves and the bleach?
Guess who rockin every club? That's me
Get so hot, you feel the buzz in the streets
Keepin it knockin, drop-drop that beat
Guess who got the group name on top?
S.O.B. got the rap game locked
Who want what, when, why, and what-not
Who got next up? Ryu and Tak

[Tak]
Yeah, here it comes, all you hear is a click
Bloody brains on the sand was a Miracle Whip
While the blood keeps gushin relish and pink mustard, huh
I'ma slam 'til I tear it to bits
'Til the bell for the recess rang
On the defense game, you feelin ill like P.F. Changs
Hopscotch on the corpse 'til I drop the torch
And burn crews for their views that'll rock with force
Sayin, don't stop the sure-shot, the rooftop anthem
Blast the gold box, cock back the cannon
What's up y'all, we don't stall
Come, one, come all 'til we drop the ball like

[Outro]
[scratches] Get the bleach!
[scratches] Get, get the bleach!
[scratches] Get... get the bleach!
[scratches] Get, get the bleach!
[scratches] Get, get, get the bleach!
[scratches] Get... get the bleach! (yeah)

Bloc Party

[Mike:]
Hey Ap, why don’t you do the uh…the intro on this shit?
Apathy:
Yo Apathy, Fort Minor, Styles Of Beyond, Demigodz

[Mike:]
Here we go

[Apathy:]
Yo, rappers like heavy metal and ghettos
Guns, metals and ammos
I pistol whip Tony and fuck Meadows Soprano
A cat who sells them bugs but tell them thugs
They don’t know how to carry more heat than welding gloves
I walk amongst the gods, keep my head in the clouds
Oh we show groupie love, getting head in the crowds
Put it in girls mouth blast off like NASA
The master of nastiness transform a classy bitch into
A little sheen freak sadomasochist
Dastardly bastard of rap so disastorous
Spitting, healed a cripple like Christ the miraculous
And fights my savageness, turns punks, pacifists
The police clock Ap like there he go
Always on the watch because I use to carry blow
Always lock her down but I never marry ho's
Barry foes when the flows comes through your stereo

[Mike:]
Here we go flipping up a predictable verse
It’s a curse to burst words like turrets on purpose
Put the verb like a backhand reject perverse as it is
I can't stop and its making me nervous, ok?
Get me on a track and I'm cracking
Packing up a backpack full of tracks on some CDs
Be me, fuck that and not like me
To bite me you need to be you times ninety
I got schemes and a team so hyped we
Get on a scene make a scene on the nightly
Say what I mean, whether mean or politely
Living the dream in some clean white Nike's
Or DC's, I'm not giving a shit
Fuck the words that you heard and the lips that they hang from
I stay banging to bang, bang drums and hanging you lames
And the same no names gangs you came from
I don’t got an excuse, just talking the truth
I'm fucking awesome when I'm rocking the booth
And I stay ready with hot bloc rocking abuse
Y'all are really not stopping us dude, yeah Tak, get up

[Tak:]
It started off get on over and hit the galaxy
Now we are movuing them over they are crowing me the Cali king
Anything tossed on my fuse getting chewed up
With a quota six and little good weight, too much
Going to get smacked in the face with aluminum bats
Your fucking raps as good as me, Bobo and
I said I was rude, step in the shoes, you don't believe me
You can ask Devin the dude how I strip down the bitch clown stand in my socks
Whip the mother fuckers ass like I'm Cannibal, watch
You want to be stoned? Even with a basket of ice?
Get your shit flowing feeling for the casket to drop
You know them S.O.B.'s never get the record to stop
Breaking the habit is impossible what happened to Tak
He's unleashed, he's a beast so Sledge hand me a bloc
Party, whats your corpses posing for? , the camera was shot, huh
Styles and Machine Shop, necklace fly
No wonder everyone is so petrified
I said, Styles and Machine Shop, necklace fly
No wonder everyone is so petrified

[Mike:]
Let me hear that!

Cigarettes

Man I love this rap game
Mainly cuz its cool
To add a little spice to the life you've been through
Everyone exaggerates a tiny little bit
Make that shit sound more gangster than it really is
You can't appear weak man
We wanna hear street
We wanna hear you spit your thug over this here beat
Don't take it as sarcastic
I can't get enough
I'm telling you
You can call my bluff
If it's not rough, then I really don't need it
I'm not even ashamed
I got too much reality that's filling up my brain
So sell me on that product, I'm addicted to the game
Suck it up like a cigarette, light it up (man)

It's just like a cigarette, it's something that I do
Once in a while but between me and you
It's just like a cigarette, nobody's really fooled
I dont want the truth, I wanna feel fucking cool

Let me tell you something that I realize tonight
My hip hop radio's like Marlboro Light
They're both selling stories and they sound about the same
Cigarettes say they're safe, rappers claim they really bang
We don't care if it's true when we lay the money down
We don't believe the words, we just love the way they sound
They're acting like we're idiots, they're lying to our face
Maybe we are idiots, we buy it anyway

I'm runnin' out to get the next rapper's CD
Just suckin' up the guns, drugs, and misogyny
The same way that I suck up all the stories
When I breathe that little bit of death supposedly cancer-free and
Everything they say's got the truth twisted up
But twisted up's what I want man, I can't get enough
Cuz even though we know it's all just a big bluff
We just light another up, what
We don't give a fuck

It's just like a cigarette, it's something that I do
Once in a while but between me and you
It's just like a cigarette, nobody's really fooled
I don't want the truth, I wanna feel fucking cool

Its just like a cigarette, its something that I do
Over and over but between me and you
It's just like a cigarette, nobody's really fooled
I don't want the truth, I wanna feel fucking cool

Man listen to my words, Listen for a while
Lip Service radio, don't touch the dial
If you're in the car
Turn up the track man
Give your whole neighborhood some second hand rap

Hey, Matter of fact, Listen for a while
Lip Service radio, dont touch the dial
If you're in the car man
Turn up the track
Give the whole neighborhood some second hand rap

It's just like a cigarette, it's something that I do
Once in a while but between me and you
It's just like a cigarette, nobody's really fooled
I don't want the truth, I wanna feel fucking cool

Just like a cigarette, it's something that I do
Over and over but between me and you
It's just like a cigarette, nobody's really fooled
I dont want the truth, I wanna feel fucking cool

Cover And Duck

[Intro: Mike Shinoda (Celph)]
Gentlemen and ladies
Please put down your expensive champagne (ha ha ha ha)
It's about to get ugly in here
(Yeah, set it on them motherfuckers!)
LET'S GO! My name is Mike Shinoda
And with some help from my man Celph Titled (you goddamn right)
I would like to introduce to you
From Styles of Beyond, Takbir!

[Tak]
Hell yeah, put a sock in your mouth, you now rockin with Styles
This how we knockin them down.. (Takbir!)

Hell yeah, put a sock in your mouth, you now rockin with Styles
This how we knockin them down, no other option around
Cause I just cock it and blaow, me and my popular pals
Don't make me hop in the crowd, stop jockin then bounce
We takin over and stompin all of you porch spiders
Cover and duck and we shootin straight out of Fort Minor
Roll with a pack of fifty, someone they actin shifty
I put a stamp on it and slap 'em with a flask of whiskey
You got your hopes to blazin, buzzin with no sedation
I got a [click-clack] and a party cap for both occasions
With somethin terrible sit in a mini stadium
Never perform solo, I'm frickin sick in the cranium
Packin them in, yeah, the hooligan's back
We get to, crackin his shins with aluminum bats
Got the place goin bananas and they pumpin they fists
I tip my brim to Los Angeles and jump in the pit, pit, pit

(What the fuck are you doin man? You spilled my Cristal all over me!)

[Chorus: Celph Titled]
So rough, so rugged, so what
Like a runaway train we tearin the track up
We're, at it again, we're ready to act up
So cover and duck, show us you're rockin wit us
Let's see your fists if you're rockin with this
Let me see your fists if you're rockin with this

[Mike Shinoda]
Yeah, yo
From the start 'til the end, night until the dawn
It's that, fight music cause right when it comes on
You just, lose control of your elbows and fists
Fuckin utter disregard for.. [scratches]
From the start 'til the end, night until the..
From the start 'til the end... [scratches]

From the start 'til the end, night until the dawn
It's that, fight music cause right when it comes on
You just, lose control of your elbows and fists
Fuckin utter disregard for your body in the pit
People are, swingin limbs, swingin bottles and chairs
Just throwin linebacker motherfuckers up in the air
So back up! We got you wearin that fight club glare
Steady tearin down the club cause you just don't care
It's the realest way to feel it when the speakers pop poppin
You're wit it if you get it when that beat starts knockin
We kill it when we get up on that mic start rockin
And you feel it when you hear it cause we're on non-stoppin
So, ask about me or a friend if they know (know)
We do it daily, never maybe, every show (show)
If y'all wanna get down, I'm ready to roll
Right now, y'all ready? Let's get it, let's go!

[Chorus]

[Celph Titled]
Yo, let's see your fists if you're rockin with this
Let me see your fists if you're rockin with this aˆ“ Ryu!

[Ryu]
Yo, so now they know this me rockin over Shinoda beats
Makin it crack like the extract in cocoa leaves
Hopefully labels love it; if not, then FUCK 'em
I'm cuttin the break cables, ain't stoppin at nothin
My hype is comin, murder for the price of a muffin
You think twice with a steak knife stuck in your stomach
I'm like aˆ“ whoever want it whistle, I'll let you bring a pistol
I'll put a verse on both wings like a stinger missile
Provokin people to bring it, I keep the weapons stable
I blow a fuckin hole through 'em like a Western bagel
Yeah I talk tough and I rap ignorant too
Sick of me kickin knowledge gettin crap on my shoes
I'm off my rocker, a psycho stalker
A girl called me David Beckham, she thought I was gonna soccer/sock her
Nah, I'm the one to get it crackin, the plan works
Before I rock a show you gotta fasten they fans first

(You ready? Let's go!)

[Chorus]

[Celph Titled]
Yo, let's see your fists if you're rockin with this
Let me see your fists if you're rockin with this (c'mon Celph)
Yo, if it ain't raw it ain't right, so get it right
We at it again, 'bout to act up and start a fight
So, cover and duck cause we runnin amuck
No! Cover and duck cause we about to erupt
Throw your motherfuckin hands to the sky, sky
And make a fist if you wanna get live, live
Throw your motherfuckin hands to the sky, sky
And make a fist if you wanna get live, live

[Outro: Celph Titled (Mike Sinoda)]
(C'mon y'all, yeah) Yeah
(You like that shit? Ha ha ha ha)
We have to get real GODZ-illa on them this time
Tak and Ryu, S.O.B., Celph Titled (tell 'em Celph)
M. Shinoda the cobra holder (ha ha ha ha)
Demigodz, that's how my crew do
Shut the fuck up, there's grown folks talkin!

Do What We Did

If anybody's out there listening to this broadcast of mine
Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen what's on my mind
I won’t pull any punches hold anything back
I'll tell you the way that it is
When it's all said and done i'm gonna leave you wondering
How did we do what we did?

Yo, I don't care if you're a woman or a child or man
When I'm done everybody's gonna understand
Some rappers get mad when you say they're in a band
But, not me
Cause I really am
It's LP for your fucking information pal
So you can stop staring back over your shoulder now
You can't stop me mugging with that twisted brow
Concentrating on mine
You're wasting your time buddy
Erase that face
Replace the frown
Look at the ground
Look down
Quit fucking around
Now jeez, everyone's been so tightly wound
From the minute that we became the new menace in town
Could it be that these cool, contagious
Phrases sprayed aimless
Are making ya'll hate us?
Shit, you can hate 'til your face turns blue
Everyone else
Let me cut up a question for you

If anybody's out there listening to this broadcast of mine
Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen what's on my mind
I won't pull any punches hold anything back
I'll tell you the way that it is
When it's all said and done i'm gonna leave you wondering
How did we do what we did?

Oh, there goes another one
Better call all your people in
Bury the body quick stupid
Show you where I'm coming from
Open up the cellar
To the pelican's bliss
With delicatessenal sitting 'til your skeleton splits
He sets us off now
Don't know which direction is which
We all fell
Little weapons with consecutive hits
But that’ll be that
So never mind your battery pack
Cause in reality nobody gives a crappity-crap
Move over, before you get your flattery snatched
You tiny caterpillars act like you don’t have any sex
Hopping over the gums drilling holes in cavity caps
They're full of shit to the root now
Pass me that Jack
On the rocks is Tak
Back on the block what?
Tapping your vest like I just happen to pop up
Trapped in a circle
And now he’s itching to box
But no way I'm 'a stop
Until I'm waiting your snot pus

If anybody's out there listening to this broadcast of mine
Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen what's on my mind
I won’t pull any punches hold anything back
I'll tell you the way that it is
When it's all said and done i'm gonna leave you wondering
How did we do what we did?

I just say what I feel I don't care if I'm black balled
Walk up in the label start waving a hack-saw
Hit the bathroom strip naked and jack-off
This white boy's getting more gangster than Mac Mall
I'm in the crowd I’m feeding your fans roofies
Nope, that aint a coke it's a Vicodin smoothie
Yeah, acting boozy a thug like fuck it
Got a champagne taste with a bud light budget
Got a little-ass dick with some [something backwards] on it
So sick I could make a fucking maggot vomit
No Shit
Get the mic's out
Kick it in gear
It's Ludacris
All I needed was some chicken and beer
You better, roll out while the coast is clear
We've been hit with thick bottles and a broken chair
Bitch please you can leave with a couple of cracked teeth
Don't pump me for the fame
I aint crapped for six weeks / so

If anybody's out there listening to this broadcast of mine
Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen what's on my mind
I won't pull any punches hold anything back / i'll
Tell you the way that it is
When it's all said and done i'm gonna leave you wondering
How did we do what we did?

If anybody's out there listening to this broadcast of mine

Dolla

[Mike:]
Yeah, like that Y'all
Uh huh, whoo, like that
Fort Minor, S.O.B.
Yeah, like this, listen

Attention please, I only need a second
To make a mental impression directly on any record so
Give me space to move, room to prove I'm stupid with the P's and Q's
Ladies and gentlemen I'm sending you bending
Pretending the pen is a needle, I'm injecting the venom
And I'll be damned if I let another man get to me
I'll bruise you with a shoe to the family jewelry
I'm back with fury, attack quickly
Sick with a BIC pen, all up in your shit man
You never knew the flow was sick as this
Bitch, listen when I'm letting you know
Got a grip on these tracks that you wish you got
Got a clique full of assholes, I kid you not
So when that mixtape's done and that album drops
Ryu and Tak and me got it loaded and locked, believe it

[Ryu:]
You still breathing? I'm cocking and squeezing
Tucked still? Nope, I don't give a fuck who sees it
Broad days sitting sideways, stuffed in a small cave
For three fucking weeks 'til you reek like dog waste
Ugh, really, I put a punk in his place
Let's see if he freestyles with a pump in his face
Got something to say? Please, better keep it a secret
The streets got hideous ways of handling beef, bitch
So eat shit, hate it or love it, the underdogs on top
Getting faded telling people to suck it
Bucking 'em down for real while you fucking around
I'm stuck in the house for months tryin to sharpen my skills
So how does it feel? You lames want to claim my throne
You got a better chance getting Danny Hayes on the phone
Good luck, I flame suckers 'til they're black and crispy
Sneaking heat up in the club like a flask of whisky

[Tak:]
Yeah, I'm here to crack the roof in
You got a nice watch but your raps are useless
You better cut the crap 'fore i snap some nooses
And leave you all snoozing' on some afternoon shit
I hit the streets with a cake and batter for fun
Just to spit bleach in his face
It's lunchtime punk, open the face
Hit you with a punchline 'til you choke on your teeth
Catch me at the show rockin' in that tipsy mode
Like Angels and Demons unlocking DaVinci's Code
One drop in the cannister, people split the globe
Blowing every planet to shit once I hit the road
You in the tight bitch, cut you with apathy
I'm on the night shift see I hustle like cassidy
So kick that shit sound and let the west coast see
One of the illest names, Ribkat from S.O.B.

[Green Lantern:]
That's right, Fort Minor
We Major, Mike Shinoda, S.O.B.
Heavy Guard, Machine Shop, Linkin Park
You know, man, this is an...

Feel Like Home

These days are dark and the nights are cold
People actin like they lost their soul
And everywhere I go, I see another person like me
Tryin to make it all feel like home (feel like home)
These days are dark and the nights are cold
People actin like they lost their soul
And everywhere I go, I see another person like me
Tryin to make it all feel like home

Standin on the bridge in the dark
And I'm seein my breath
Tryin to make it home without freezin to death
And my grandfather's face is stuck in my mind
And how seein him tonight's gonna be the last time
I shoulda brought a jacket
Blowin in my hands like it's really gonna stop the chill
I buy a cup of coffee with a 5 dollar bill
Thinkin layin in that box people look so still
At times like these you start thinking
Your first breath in and the clock starts tickin
I'm not tryin to bum anyone out
Not trying to be dramatic just thinkin out loud
Im just trying to make some sense in my mind
Some defense from the cold that I'm feelin outside
And for a minute escapewith some rhythm and rhyme
And get away from the grey just a bit at a time

Kinda funny how this world can treat ya
Like a freak in a sideshow
A carnival creature
Climbin outta cans, Im a diamond in the sand
But you cant tell the difference in a beach of rhinestones
My life's like tryin to swallow a pinecone
It's tough when you live fast just to die slow
Talk to dial tones my dreams are far fetched it seems
So I sleep underneath this park bench
I know it dont make sense and I dont expect for you to know what it's like
Smoke, drink, pissin everything off in my sight
Push rocks in a pipe
Lift-off I keep puffin til my lips turn white
And my chest gets tight
But who the fuck really cares when you're so far left that even death looks right
All I can do is hope for the best and pray that it gets a little better than yesterday

These days are dark and the nights are cold
People actin like they lost their soul
And everywhere I go, I see another person like me
Tryin to make it all feel like home
These days are dark and the nights are cold
People actin like they lost their soul
And everywhere I go, I see another person like me
Tryin to make it all feel like home

Yo
Pardon me, I think I'm next to Earl.
Too many problems goin on thats why I left my girl
Packed my bags and I travel with a pen and my notepad
Who said I was broke and all the things that I dont have
But still I try to find a way to escape from what I hate
Planted in my head that led to mistakes
But now im breakin the mold see I was patient and calm
Many sleep in the rain but I'm awake in the storm
Writin my life in a short film
The rise and fall
How I managed to scorch hills and climb the wall
Pound pavement, aimless in this cold existence
Even the things that change and i'm going the distance
Overcoming the depth I had controlled for so long
And put it all behind me cos life still goes on
Now i'm much stronger, I know where I stand
We'll all soul search over and over again

These days are dark and the nights are cold
People actin like they lost their soul
And everybody's tryin not to cry
Tryina get by and tryin not to feel outta control
And if you look hard enough, sometimes you'll find
A place that might just remind you of home
But if it doesn't feel like home,
You can do what I do
Just pretend you don't feel so alone (so alone, so alone...)

Feel like home
Feel like home
Feel like home
Feel like home
Feel like home
Feel like home
Feel like home
Feel like home

Get It

[Intro: Tak]
Yeah, Ryu and Tak
Yeah, Ryu and Tak (S.O.B.)
Yeah, Ryu and Tak, Demigodz
Green Lantern, Scoop DeVille
This kid is only 17, man
He's about to be a problem

[Chorus]
So let's get right to it and groove
It ain't nothin but a thing to get ya people to move
Gotta lovin the way we swing when we step on the scene
You know we kill it, goin all out, we about to {"G-g-g-g-g-get it!"}

[Ryu]
Yo, it's in my blood, I was born to spit it
The coroner has kept me warm through the storms of winter
Ignored the pain and struggle when it's time for dinner
We huddle together and grind, rain or shine
Survive the weather, forget about changin spinners
Throw me a bone, I'm just tryin to raise my litter
It made me bitter, eventually made me sicker
So when the heat's on we don't get pre-game jitters, uh-uh
We go to work man, diggin in dirt
We took 'em to church, we're checkin in some teenage strippers
Livin life by the seat of my pants and three-peated
We champs, undefeated we can't, lose ever
Whoever want it with us better roll with a camp
You trust to cover your ass when your asses can't
Huh, so bottom's up, here's one for the crew
Put some liquor in your gut and tell me what you wanna do, sing it

[Interlude: Ryu (Tak)]
S - for every sucker left behind
O - what they were yellin when I bust a rhyme
B - best believe when it's time to get it
We grind and jet cause we ain't got time to kick it, no!
(S - for the drunk sexy women)
(O - sippin Jack with some Pepsi in it)
B - best believe when it's time to get it
We grind and jet cause we ain't got time to kick it, no!

[Chorus]

[Tak]
Wow, look at 'em now, their mouths are closed
We done came a long way since 2004
Spilled "Bleach" got the whole entire crowd exposed
The fumes leakin in the street, throwin down them 'bows, whoa
We on the job, the run with the mob
The fake fa?·ades to get it just to make new large
I roll a, seven to nine just to break the yards
And step in your mind and unfold the great bizarre
Hit the kill switch, yeah, found my hitch
I'm on the pitcher's mound for now, it's me and Will Smith
Finally overseas, I sneak in the mattress
Ain't nothin like a sweet club freak with an accent
We out gettin bent makin dollar amounts
So if you with me let me see you raise your bottomless shots, say it

[Interlude]

[Chorus]

[Holly Brook (Mike Shinoda)]
Gonna be somebody (for anybody tellin me I can't)
Gonna be someone (for anyone who told me I had no chance)
Gonna be somebody (I'm tellin you the time has come - like that)
Gonna be someone (and maybe you'll get it when I'm finally done)

Get Me Gone

The dude, he said that, like, when we were making the first Linkin Park record
He was like,
"Yeah you know, I don't know about the rapping like, I don't know... maybe you should just be a rock band."
You know what I mean, like, trying to change us
Like they signed us as an act like what we sound like and then he's like
"Oh I don't know maybe you should just play keyboard"

Before the first song that you heard me on
There were people already tryin' to get me gone
Tellin' me to quit rapping
"Just play the keys"
That my band had a singer
They didn't need me
But my band had my back
So we did the tracks
Put out the album and the talk went flat
It was funny at first but then the humour faded
When some magazines printed that our label made us
We were to be good to be true
Some were saying ghost writers were writin' all that we do
So we had to disprove it
We spelled it out to the detail how we do it when we're making this music
After that I made it a rule
I only do e-mail responses to print interviews
Because these people love to put a twist to your words
To infer that you said something fucking absurd

Oh, did I lose you at infer?
Not used to hearing a verse that uses over first grade vocabulary words?
People used to infer that we were manufactured
Now I've got the interviews on file
Which people said what
Which number to dial
So now every enemy screaming insanity
All they're ever gonna be's another big fan of me
Bitch

"Hahaha"
"You beileve that?
Like, thats crazy
Sounds crazy right?
You're like this point -
At this point you figure-
You hear that and you're like
"That guy is out of his mind"
But honestly at that point,
Besides the fact that he wanted me to just play keyboard, or whatever,
He didn't want me to rap,
He was like
Maybe Joe Hahn should, um, wear a lab coat and a cowboy hat on st...like when we play
I swear to God he's crazy!
It was crazy..."

"Whats goin on with the cowboy hat?"

"Yea...
And later on he claimed that he wrote our - all our songs so that was...that was real nice"

Hard Way

Come with me
Let me walk in through the world that I currently stay in
You can take a look around and tell me if I'm mistaken
You can even talk to everybody that I live with
Maybe you could tell me why everybody's so distant
Is it me or maybe, when I look around daily
I don't even know the people I can put my trust in lately
People that I used to hang with now their actin' to different
I'm still the same person why doesn't anybody listen
Can somebody please just explain to me
What happened to the way that we always said we'd be
Right now I dunno why I push through the pain that I got through
And I'm losin' hope

(chorus)
Deafening voices
That frequency inside my head that says
I'm going at it the hard way I focus
Get everything inside out of my brain that claims
I'm going at it the hard way

Come with me
Let me walk in through the world that I currently live in
Not a thing is forgotten, not a thing is forgiven
Nobody can hold their own underneath the weight but
Nobody can take the blame for their own mistakes so
What do you do when somebody lets you down
And you wanna say something but you can't cause their not around
Inside you think they know the extent of the pain
But they won't even admit that they were the one to blame
Can somebody please just explain to me
What happened to the way that we always said we'd be
Cause right now I dunno why I push through the pain that I got through
And I'm losin' hope

(chorus)

Voices in my head

Can somebody please just explain to me
What happened to the way that we always said we'd be
Right now I dunno why I push through the pain that I got through
And I'm losin' hope, give me one reason not to

(chorus)

High Road

Lets go ya'll

These people are running off at the mouth
Tryin to convince me that I'm running on empty
Tryin to convince themselves that the record with Jay was a fluke
That the record that I'm makin is a mistake
And I cant take this
Lemme tell you where I'm at with this
You bastards are gonna have to take back that shit
I'm not plastic and fake
When I make tracks I take facts and lay them out for the masses
You assholes are gonna see soon that I'm not playin
And start askin me the names that I'm not sayin
But I'm tryin to be bigger than the bickerin
Bigger than the petty name callin
Under the breath talkin
Rumors and labels and categorization
I'm like a struggling doctor, No patients
But you can say what you want about me
Keep talkin while I'm walkin away
(Bitches)

You can say what you have to say
'Cause my mind's made up anyway
I'm taking the high road going above you
This is the last time that I'm gonna trust you
You can say what you have to say
'Cause my mind's made up anyway
All that bullshit you talk might work a lot
But it's not gonna work today

You people are running off at the mouth
Tryin to make me take myself off safety
Tryin to make my friends turn their backs on the team we built
Buildin up some mistaken information
And I cant take this
Lemme spell it out plain for you
Angry groups complain about the things we do
I'm not changing direction, I'm stepping my game up
Maintainin my name, the same way I came up
You're gonna see that I'm not playin
And start asking me the names that I'm not sayin
But im tryin not to mention the names of people who wanna siphon attention
You like the hype of pretendin you're part of the picture won't pass
You're like a high school dropout, no class
You can say what you want about me
Keep talkin while i'm walkin away
(bitch)

You can say what you have to say
Cuz my mind's made up anyway
I'm taking the high road going above you
This is the last time that I'm gonna trust you
You can say what you have to say
Cuz my mind's made up anyway
All that bullshit you talk might work a lot
But it's not gonna work today

Why does it always have to be
Somebody's always watching me
All I really need is some room to breathe
Is anybody out there listening?
Cuz I cant stand to keep this in
All I really want, I'll say again

You can say what you have to say
Cuz my mind's made up anyway
I'm taking the high road going above you
This is the last time that I'm gonna trust you
You can say what you have to say
Cuz my mind's made up anyway
All that bullshit you talk might work a lot
But it's not gonna work today

In Stereo

This is how it goes
Welcome one and all to the show
We're wired up
Fired up
Fucking ready to go
In the back of the parking lot outside of the bar
Twenty deep
Twenty feet from the boulevard
Black hoodies
Black caps
Black label in glasses
Previewing the new shit before the masses
'Cause the first thing I need when i've got a new beat
Is to see how it sounds
Echoing off the street
I just take it for a spin
Pop the CD in
Slide it up to ten and get that rearview shaking
Then play it again so there's no mistaking
San Andreas the block
Get this bitch earthquaking live

Oh
Ready for it here we go
We got the whole block rocking in stereo
We're taking control
Letting everybody know
And if you feel it
Let me hear everybody go

You're not ready
I got plenty cuts for twenty months dropped steadily
Plenty tracks to empty on your wack pedigree
I'm backed heavily while you're back peddling
Forget the chitchat on me homie
Kick back
I'm on that shit that can get your homie bitch-slapped
So zip your lip back
Listen and watch
We got the whole block rockin' off the way the beat knocks
You don't have to warn the people on the corner
They know
That if you're standing on that corner then you're getting that show
World premiering you're hearing that Machine Shop flow
San Andreas the block
Get this bitch earthquaking like
(chorus)
Turn the key
Turn the volume up to loud
Roll right
Roll every window down
Let the whole block know what this is about
Turn it up y'all
Burn that system out

Introduction -- Skip

[Jay-Z:]
The record that you made,
That's underground hiphop
Wi...with, with big sound
What, with big, with big sound
That protects it over, coz the sound is so big
(it's an underground), that's an underground hiphop record
The richness of the music and everything
I know is gonna be somet'n serious

Kenji

My father came from Japan in 1905
He was 15 when he immigrated from Japan
He worked until he was able to buy - to actually build a store

Let me tell you the story in the form of a dream,
I don't know why I have to tell it but I know what it means,
Close your eyes, just picture the scene,
As I paint it for you, it was World War II,
When this man named Kenji woke up,
Ken was not a soldier,
He was just a man with a family who owned a store in LA,
That day, he crawled out of bed like he always did,
Bacon and eggs with wife and kids,
He lived on the second floor of a little store he ran,
He moved to LA from Japan,
They called him 'Immigrant,'
In Japanese, he'd say he was called "Issei,"
That meant 'First Generation In The United States,'
When everyone was afraid of the Germans, afraid of the Japs,
But most of all afraid of a homeland attack,
And that morning when Ken went out on the doormat,
His world went black 'cause,
Right there; front page news,
Three weeks before 1942,
"Pearl Harbour's Been Bombed And The Japs Are Comin',"
Pictures of soldiers dyin' and runnin',
Ken knew what it would lead to,
Just like he guessed, the President said,
"The evil Japanese in our home country will be locked away,"
They gave Ken, a couple of days,
To get his whole life packed in two bags,
Just two bags, couldn't even pack his clothes,
Some folks didn't even have a suitcase, to pack anything in,
So two trash bags is all they gave them,
When the kids asked mom "Where are we goin'?"
Nobody even knew what to say to them,
Ken didn't wanna lie, he said "The US is lookin' for spies,
So we have to live in a place called Manzanar,
Where a lot of Japanese people are,"
Stop it don't look at the gunmen,
You don't wanna get the soldiers wonderin',
If you gonna run or not,
'Cause if you run then you might get shot,
Other than that try not to think about it,
Try not to worry 'bout it; bein' so crowded,
Someday we'll get out, someday, someday.

As soon as war broke out
The F.B.I. came and they just come to the house and
"You have to come"
"All the Japanese have to go"
They took Mr. Lee
People didn't understand
Why did they have to take him?
Because he's an innocent laborer

So now they're in a town with soldiers surroundin' them,
Every day, every night look down at them,
From watch towers up on the wall,
Ken couldn't really hate them at all;
They were just doin' their job and,
He wasn't gonna make any problems,
He had a little garden with vegetables and fruits that,
He gave to the troops in a basket his wife made,
But in the back of his mind, he wanted his families life saved,
Prisoners of war in their own damn country,
What for?
Time passed in the prison town,
He wanted them to live it down when they were free,
The only way out was joinin' the army,
And supposedly, some men went out for the army, signed on,
And ended up flyin' to Japan with a bomb,
That 15 kilotonne blast, put an end to the war pretty fast,
Two cities were blown to bits; the end of the war came quick,
Ken got out, big hopes of a normal life, with his kids and his wife,
But, when they got back to their home,
What they saw made them feel so alone,
These people had trashed every room,
Smashed in the windows and bashed in the doors,
Written on the walls and the floor,
"Japs not welcome anymore."
And Kenji dropped both of his bags at his sides and just stood outside,
He, looked at his wife without words to say,
She looked back at him wiping tears away,
And, said "Someday we'll be okay, someday,"
Now the names have been changed, but the story's true,
My family was locked up back in '42,
My family was there it was dark and damp,
And they called it an internment camp

When we first got back from camp... uhh
It was... pretty... pretty bad

I, I remember my husband said
"Are we gonna stay 'til last?"
Then my husband died before they close the camp.
